Aeroponic gardening offers several benefits over other farming methods. An aeroponic garden allows crops to grow vertically without using soil or water. One main benefit is that it enables farmers to grow more crops because they are exposed to nutrient-rich mist that directly nourishes the plant root. Plus, the roots are exposed to oxygen, which promotes plant growth. Fruits and vegetables also tend to be better quality because they are not exposed to some contaminants from soil-based organisms, risk of disease, or risk of pest infestation.

Farmers do not have to use as much fertilizer when growing plants aeroponically. Compared with traditional farming, aeroponic farming requires using half the amount of fertilizer, which reduces farming costs.

Aeroponic farming does not require using as much water as other farming practices. According to a March 2023 Growing Magazine article, sometimes aeroponic reduces water use by 95 percent. Finally, aeroponic farms are scalable, as small as apartment-sized gardens or as large as commercial farms.
